When I started using Linux, GnomeBaker was the default in Ubuntu. after some time they moved to Brasero. For some reason in both cases I had many CDs destroyed when I tried to burn. I presumed that it was a general problem with Linux vs. my CD drive, and didn't try to fix it. Then I discovered Xfburn. It was not included in Xubuntu, so I installed it myself and found that it just works. Xfburn is at least as good as any other Xfce app, but for some reason it is not used in many Xfce based distros.
